I would greatly favor a separate utility (i.e. revive gpr2prj). The 
reason is that ASIS does not support .gpr files, and AdaCore has no plan 
to change that, safe from finding a sponsor with really deep pockets. 
Any ASIS tool (including adacontrol ;-) is in a very bad situation with 
people who use .prj files. That's one of the reasons why I never 
switched to .gpr.

gpr2prj has been removed from all recent distributions. I think it was 
intended to ease the transition, but the net result was that people did 
not transition at all...

I have nothing against emacs supporting *also* .gpr files, but by all 
means, please keep the .adp!
